Established in 1933, SIDEM first made its mark manufacturing suspension parts for passenger cars. Half a century later, the company, now owned and managed by the Verfaillie family, started broadening its horizons. While continuing a rich tradition of personal involvement and basic attention to detail, SIDEM expanded its business into the commercial vehicle sector, developing a product line to serve the entire automotive industry. To fully achieve that vision, SIDEM opened two new production plants in Eastern Europe in 1991 and 2001.

Today, these ISO-certified plants supply a constant flow of OE-approved materials to the seat and central warehouse in Roeselare (Flanders, Belgium), where the parts are designed and thoroughly tested in-house. This permanent, yet instantly customizable influx enables SIDEM to carry a full range of top quality steering and suspension components, deliverable worldwide and door-to-door in a matter of days. Products

SIDEM offers one of the most complete and comprehensive ranges in today’s automotive aftermarket industry. From Alfa to Zastava, from European trucks to Japanese and Korean passenger cars, from a simple tie rod end to a complex track control arm, the SIDEM parts catalogue covers it all.

SIDEM steering and suspension parts for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, such as tie rod ends, stabilizer links and a full range of rubber metal bushings, are available from stock – a central warehouse in Roeselare, Belgium – and ready for delivery within less than five working days.

As far as trucks are concerned, SIDEM specializes in parts for Daf, Volvo and Scania. The catalogue, however, also caters to RVI, Man, Mercedes and Iveco, from steering and track rods and king pin sets to silentblocs and wheelbolts.

In addition to its standard range, SIDEM also has an in-house R&D department which develops and designs to customer specifications for agricultural and industrial applications.

Conveniently located in the heart of Europe and organized to perfection, SIDEM’s 20,000 m2 warehouse carries an amazing range of high-quality stock at all times. Every item is O.E. approved, safely stocked in its distinctive protective packaging, ready to be shipped to the four corners of the world at a moment’s notice. Just in time, door-to-door delivery, with careful handling a rule of thumb.

Working from one of the most widely referenced and respected parts catalogues in the business, SIDEM sales staff serve over 500 satisfied customers in more than 90 countries worldwide.

Research & development

In the R & D Department, perfection is engineered, monitored and maintained. In-house. On demand. Expert staff combine state-of-the-art technology, 3-D simulation software by Unigraphics and decades of know-how to ensure OE matching quality throughout an entire range.

Production and pretesting of prototypes (tensile testing machine) is of course mandatory, resulting in Initial Sample Measuring reports. From prototype to final product, SIDEM strictly adheres to rigorous ISO procedures.

With a development capacity of more than 30 new references a month and extensive testing facilities to ensure compliance with and all standards of safety, quality and reliability, SIDEM becomes the partner of choice for any and all steering and suspension needs. Now and for the future.

SIDEM suppliers are continuously screened for their consistence, reliability and quality of service. Subsequently, the supplied materials are rigorously tested for composition, hardness, durability, etc…

Our ISO-certified plants supply a constant flow of OE-approved materials to the seat and central warehouse. In-house testing, whether on prototypes before general production, or during the production process proper, is a continuous concern. Flaws are filtered out, consistent quality guaranteed.
