Sidem, the European specialist in steering and suspension parts, has been collaborating with a new Sales & Marketing Manager for several weeks now. Nicolas Goddeeris comes from the graphic and food sectors. For Sidem, he detects opportunities particularly in digitization and data analysis.
 

Challenges and opportunities

The automotive sector is quite new to me, which creates a challenge. On the other hand, this also gives me the opportunity to use my experience within other sectors in order to analyze what are the most relevant approaches here”, says the brand new Sales & Marketing Manager. “Technology has always fascinated me and Sidem is about tangible, high-performance products: steering and suspension parts for the automotive aftermarket. That gives me something very concrete to get started with."


Focus on digitization

The Sales & Marketing Manager at Sidem wants to focus primarily on digitization and maximum customer service. “This family business has a long history and has developed tremendous product and market know-how. If we can link that know-how to the digitization trend within the automotive sector, this opens great possibilities as to customer comfort. If we can take our huge amount of quality data as a basis for providing the customer with personalized support, they can integrate it into their own products and marketing plans. The result: a win-win situation. Given my experience with data analysis and international sales, this is probably my biggest added value for Sidem", concludes Goddeeris.
