SECURITY ALERT: EARLY FAILURES IN HYDRAULIC CORE SILENT BLOCKS.
Mechanics know that silent blocks are essential for a smooth, comfortable ride. These components ensure the vehicle’s wheels are perfectly aligned, they absorb vibrations, impacts and noises and allow track control arm movements. But some OE-designed hydraulic silent blocks are more prone to wear and early failure due to structural weaknesses: thin rubber causes cracks.
At Sidem, we care about the vehicle’s performance and lifespan. We test OE parts, listen to feedback from workshops and develop solutions that deliver durability, comfort and safety. That’s why we’ve engineered a full rubber alternative for some hydraulic silent blocks, ensuring superior durability without compromising ride quality.
THE PROBLEM: EARLY FAILURES IN HYDRAULIC CORE SILENT BLOCKS
Some hydraulic silent blocks in modern vehicles have shown a high failure rate, especially in electric and larger vehicles. Due to their heavier weight, these vehicles generate larger forces, increasing stress on the silent blocks.
The root cause? The rubber around the hydraulic chamber in these silent blocks is thinner than standard silent blocks, making it the weakest point. Over time, this results in early ruptures, leading to noise, discomfort, and costly replacements.
SIDEM’S SOLUTION: A REINFORCED FULL RUBBER DESIGN
To address this issue, our Quality and R&D department developed a full rubber alternative. By eliminating the hydraulic core and optimizing rubber shore hardness, we have achieved perfect balance between axial and radial stiffness.
The result?
- Increased durability – No more weak hydraulic chambers.
- Enhanced strength – Designed to handle the high forces of electric and larger vehicles.
- Maintained comfort – Keeps noise and vibrations at a minimum for a smooth ride.
- Lower costs – Reduces premature failures and unnecessary replacements.
With these improvements, the vehicles stay reliable and safe on the road while reducing workshop visits.
