Stabilizer bar

  • Low carbon steel: maximum
  • Cold work hardened and tempered: strength
  • Straightened and cut from coil: increased density and strength
  • Coating white zinc or paint black RAL9005: optimal corrosion protection
  • Clean and neat finish

Automated flash welding

  • Effective and complete welds
  • Lowered chance of imperfections or contaminations in the welds
  • An additional spot weld is added if needed

Water infiltration into the ball joint is the main reason for stabilizer link failure. Once the water finds its way in, there’s no stopping corrosion. To prevent this, we use durable raw materials: e.g. cold-forged, polished chromium steel for the ball pin. This material provides increased strength and rust resistance.

The dust cover, which shields the ball pin and housing, should be securely sealed to the ball-pin and housing. To ensure a fixed lock on the housing while still allowing smooth movement between pin and the dustcover top, spring steel locking rings with the correct diameters are used.

The dust cover is designed with grooves on the inside, increasing sealing pressure and allowing lubrication, this prevents water from to prevent water from seeping in between. Another important reason for failure is the use of low-quality lubrication. Therefore, the use of high-quality lubricant is crucial as it places a protective film on all vulnerable surfaces. It retains its composition and features which prevent drying out, eroding and eventually failing.

Lifetime lubricating grease.

Ball joint lubrication is important to prevent the part from drying out, corroding and wearing. The grease used in Sidem parts is coengineered with Klüber Lubrication and assures a much longer life time due to a smoother movement and protection against water infiltration. Sidem always engineers its parts with in mind the longest possible lifespan, maximum safety, comfort and an easy installation.
